Turkish-Style Eggs

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs

  • 1½ cups Greek yoghurt

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 2 tsp lemon juice + 1 tsp zest

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Chopped dill, to garnish

  • 2 tsp chilli oil (optional)

  • 2–4 slices sourdough, toasted

Method

  1. Prepare the yoghurt base – In a bowl, mix Greek yoghurt, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, cumin, cayenne, olive oil, salt, and pepper. This will be your creamy, tangy, spiced base.

  2. Cook the eggs – Boil or poach your eggs to your preferred doneness. Poached eggs keep the yolk soft, preserving mood-supportive omega-3 fats.

  3. Assemble – Spread the yoghurt mixture generously over toasted sourdough. Top with your cooked eggs.

  4. Finish – Drizzle with chilli oil (if using), sprinkle with chopped dill, and serve warm.
